Tooting My Horn

November 30, 2016

Today I’m filled with a sense of pride for everything that has been accomplished both by myself, as well as my amazing man, and us as a team (we don’t call ourselves “Team M” for nothin’)!

When we rung in 2016, I had no idea that life would transform so radically. I was still working at a job where it felt like my soul was being slowly sucked from my body, and my dreams were light years away from ever becoming more than dreams.

I’m not sure what shifted within me this year, but suddenly living safely within my confined bubble of routine was no longer acceptable. Nor was the possibility of shoving away anything that scared me; we don’t know how much time we have left in our current existence, and damned if I’m going to let time slip on by without me trying some things.

As we near the end of the year, I’m reflecting upon my accomplishments and floating high on them. I learned to drive, opened up a completely unique shop, quit my full-time “safe” job, and have faced numerous other small challenges as gracefully as possible.

I often write about my struggle with trusting: my abilities, the flow of the universe, in my visions as an entrepreneur, etc. Well, I’m extremely proud to say that Karmyc Bazaar just had the best month in sales we’ve ever had; despite it seeming a bit slow in here foot traffic-wise. It’s another beautiful lesson in trust for me. Even when things seem stressful and I’m questioning literally everything I’m doing and believing in, if I keep putting one foot in front of the other and refusing to give up…things are beginning to come to fruition, and all of the hard work, late nights and perseverance are worth it.

Reflecting upon the last year for yourself, what have you conquered that you’re especially proud of? I’d love to hear!

With love,

Jennelle xo
