I strongly believe that amazing people like yourselves not only support small shops like ours, but the PEOPLE who own them. When you visit businesses within your community, you’re investing in those who work hard to create and facilitate beautiful offerings that inspire and uplift those around them.
We take our business very much to heart, and really pour our whole soul into it. Therefore, Karmyc Bazaar isn’t just “providing a service”; we strive to give you an entire experience you won’t forget. Since so much of ourselves is woven into the tapestries of KB, I thought it would be kind of fun to share a bit more about ourselves and some facts about your favorite little treasure shop in downtown Kelowna you might not already be aware of:
Karmyc Bazaar officially “soft opened” in February 2016 (hard to believe we’ve almost been around for 1 year now).
We were first located in an artist collective space on Cannery Lane downtown called Vibrandt Art (still there and totally worth checking out).
Our shop features 35 B.C Artists, and 3 Resident Artists
The building we’re blessed to lease was the first dentist office in Kelowna, and was built somewhere in the 1930’s/1940’s (you can still hear the screams coming through the walls if you listen closely…mwahaha).
Jennelle & Tait:
The McGuire “zoo” consists of two humans, two pugs, and two snakes.
Interestingly enough, the vibe and decor of the shop is quite similar to our home (as we can’t stop ourselves from purchasing a lot of the amazing artwork that arrives at KB).
Jennelle not so secretly loves rap music, and it’s the only thing she’ll play in her car (funny combination, as she’s also a yoga instructor).
Tait is a fire and glow performer with his other business, Kinshira. He can spin staff, double staff and poi and eats and juggles fire!
This dynamic duo (“Team M”) has been together since high school…so we’ve known and loved each other for close to 15 years now.
So there’s a little bit more about us. In turn, we’d love to know more about YOU! Please come in and visit us whenever you’re in the area, and feel free to drop us a line on social media, or in the comments below.
A special thank you to all of you who have supported us in this roller-coaster of an endeavor this year. It really means a lot to us and we’ll be forever grateful to you for having our back.
Support local, support the arts, and support your community!
